A concert by the Pardubice-based band the strýc and the unveiling of the animated music video for the song Svatozář, created by the aniLAB team.
5:00 PM The Big Anilab Summer Premiere & Concert by the strýc
Beat or No to Be-at, that was the name of our suburban animation camp, during which a unique animated music video was created. At this festive evening event, we’ll premiere the animated video for Svatozář, a song by the Pardubice-based band The Strýc.
After last year’s journey into mysteries and truths, this summer we dove into the world of beats and rhythms. During the camp, the children discovered the magic of animation, explored both traditional and experimental animation techniques, and together brought the song to life with a fresh visual interpretation.
The highlight of the evening will be a live concert by The Strýc, wrapping up our summer aniLAB adventure with energy and style.
6:00 PM The strýc (live)
Kuba Štrba (vocals, guitar), Tomáš Novák (drums), Petr Páviček (bass, vocals), and Jan Hlaváč (trumpet) are the members of The strýc. They’ve known each other since their days of studying (and partying) at the Pardubice Conservatory. After graduation, each continued in music, performing in various bands and projects such as Ska’n’Daal, Věc Makropulos, Corpulent Provocateur, Beerberies, and many others. The Strýc was originally formed out of a desire to bring to life songs that the frontman had written for fun and for his friends. Today, they play in a distinctive style that reflects everyday life with lightness, humor, and a personal touch.
