All of this is spiced up with a touch of roots reggae and the sound of dusty vinyl records. Their music brings a breeze from Jamaica and a storm from Nigeria—watch out for the sand in your eyes!
Faly Faye is a Senegalese drummer, percussionist, and dancer from a griot family, who has been bringing the traditions of West Africa to the Czech Republic for several years. He is one of the founders of the band Silaaba, has collaborated with the group Batocu, and is an occasional teacher of djembe playing and the rarely seen sabar dance, typical of Senegal and The Gambia.
The concert is presented as part of the Etnoconnexion project with the financial support of the City of Pardubice.
