Štěpán Adámek: Pąŕėîđöłīç Ļăpîđäŕįům Ôf Çhåøš
An exhibition of paintings and drawings at Klub 29
An exhibition by the Ostrava-based visual artist and musician.
Štěpán Adámek became more deeply engaged in visual art during his secondary school years, after visiting an exhibition by František Gross — an experience that changed his life. Adámek’s work unfolds somewhere between the conscious and the subconscious.
He patiently and meticulously constructs layers of thought – at times more figurative, at others abstract – yet the division between the abstract and the concrete is, in this case, merely a notion. These works contain countless polyversions and emerging ideas that invite us, whether through dialogue or in our own intimate space, to embark on a journey into the unique parallel worlds his paintings reveal.
Born in 1993, Štěpán Adámek is a self-taught artist. He studies biology education and works at a Waldorf primary school. Alongside his visual practice, he writes poetry and performs as a drummer in several bands.
