Začátky a konce… (Beginnings and Endings…)
Author readings by Veronika Mrázková and Jan Šimek. Both authors released their debut books last year. Both come from Eastern Bohemia. And both, in their own unique way, explore the complexities of romantic relationships.
In his debut Promrhaná něha (Wasted Tenderness), Jan Šimek reflects on how difficult it can be for a young man to form relationships and begin his sexual life in the digital age. Veronika Mrázková, on the other hand, dives into the theme of relationships and breakups in her book Užít si rozvod do poslední slzy (Enjoy the Divorce to the Last Tear), showing that separation doesn’t have to be a failure, but rather a chance for new beginnings and opportunities.
The readings will be followed by moderated discussions with the authors. The discussion will be led by Martin Čevora, known for his work as a Czech audiobook narrator, primarily active on the Čti mi platform.
