Join us on a “Velký vlastenecký výlet” (The Great Patriotic Trip). A documentary road movie with comedic elements, tracing a journey from the (still) safe Czech Republic to war-torn Kharkiv and further to the Donbas. The war in Ukraine without censorship.

It all began with a public call: Do you believe the war in Ukraine is a hoax? That the media are lying about the number of dead and the impact of the “special military operation in Ukraine”? Come to the casting and become the heroes of a new film.

In October 2024, the film crew set out for the center of the conflict with three “heroes” — supporters of Putin — to see with their own eyes what the war in Ukraine really looks like. Do you want to witness the reactions of these doubters when rockets fly over their heads, when they hide in shelters, walk among mass graves, talk to children attending school underground in a metro station, or meet wounded soldiers and grieving survivors?

The screening will be followed by a discussion with the film’s director. The film and the following discussion will be in Czech.
