A human being can take on the role of both protector and invasive force in nature. While conservationist Pavel seeks to merge with the landscape through his work, Klára is on the trail of a bird poisoner. The new film by director Tomáš Elšík combines an environmental documentary with the rhythm of a crime thriller.

In the Czech countryside, scarred by deforestation, Pavel quietly mows meadows, protects rare plants, and restores peat bogs. Klára, together with her four-legged companions, moves through the terrain, searching for the causes behind the deaths of birds of prey. When she discovers the poisoned body of a protected white-tailed eagle, a tense investigation begins, revealing the disturbing presence of a serial poisoner. As the search unfolds, the film becomes a gripping probe that blends environmental documentary with the pulse of a crime thriller, urging us to reflect on the role of humans in an environment on the brink of irreversible disappearance. Are we capable of reawakening our sensory perception and seeing the world we inhabit as a whole, rather than from the perspective of the dominance of a single species?
