OFFCITY Architects: David Tichý
Having a city architect or an entire department with a team of qualified professionals is now quite common at both city and municipal levels. In Pardubice, a new advisory body of the City Council was established last year to assist with important decisions regarding the architectural and urban development of our city.
Who are the specific architects in this advisory board? What is their connection to the city? What are their visions? Would you like to meet them and engage in a discussion? Join us for an evening of lectures and discussions.
The first invited member of the new advisory body is architect, educator, and architectural theorist David Tichý. At the Faculty of Architecture at CTU, he runs a studio together with architect Michal Kohout. In the past, he contributed to the development of the Prague Building Regulations and is the author of publications focused on housing. In 2020, he and his team at Unit Architects prepared the regulatory plan for Mlýnský Island in Pardubice, making him at least partially familiar with our city.
In addition to introducing himself and his work, David Tichý looks forward to a shared discussion and your input on the future of our city. Come to a friendly gathering and find out “what’s happening in our backyard.”
We look forward to meeting you and having an open discussion together!
The discussion will primarily take place in Czech.
