OFFCITY Architects: Štěpánka Endrle
The final pre-summer lecture of this year's OFFCITY ARCHITEKTI series will introduce the third of four members of the advisory board to the Pardubice City Council — this time a woman: landscape architect Štěpánka Endrle. Her role, too, is to support key decisions concerning the architectural and urban development of our city. What is her relationship to Pardubice? And what are her personal visions and ideas in the fields of architecture and landscape design?
As described in her profile on the website of the studio L&SCAPE, which she helped found, Štěpánka Endrle studied Agricultural Engineering – Horticulture at the Czech University of Life Sciences and Landscape Architecture at Mendel University in Brno. A crucial moment in her education was a study stay at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences in Vienna (BOKU), where she first encountered the Austrian approach to landscape. Through her practice, she strives to show both professionals and the general public how landscape architecture increasingly shapes our everyday lives. Since 2023, she has been a board member of the Czech Chamber of Architects, a member of the Urbanism Working Group, and a member of the jury of the Czech Architecture Award. Her projects have received several awards in architecture competitions. She is also a certified jury member for design competitions.
Štěpánka Endrle will open the evening with a presentation of her work, followed by a discussion and your thoughts and suggestions on the future of our city. Come join this informal gathering and discover what’s happening “in our own backyard.”
We look forward to seeing you and sharing an open discussion together.
The discussion will primarily take place in Czech.
