Launch of the new season at D29 and FOPA afterparty in one! Expect the acclaimed producer Martyyna, the Slovak post-club discovery SELENoLAr, and DJ LickMySoul to close the night.

FOPA is a multi-genre art festival organized to support sustainability in art and human relationships. This year’s second edition will again take place at the GAMPA on August 30th.

Martyyna is a Prague-based producer and DJ, co-founder of the multimedia KSK club nights and theIllegal Taipei architecture research hub. She debuted with Awaken EP in 2020, quickly making a name for herself with collaborations like Slikback and contributions to numerous compilations.

Her solo debut album, Written In The Scars, recently released on the Mexican label Infinite Machine, cleverly subverts the cliché that our destiny is written in the stars. Instead, it delves into the idea that our life stories are defined by the emotional scars we carry and our journey of acceptance. In Written In The Scars, past feelings of anger and despair transform into complex, stuttering productions. Her deeper vocals intertwine with jittery synth arrangements, rising in pitch and confidence as distant echoes try to break free, bringing buried traumas to the surface. Each track is crafted with both chaos and care, constructed from diverse elements that capture her mood shifts and despair, as well as her precise craftsmanship gained from working as an architect. Here, instead of physical structures, she builds sonic worlds that evoke her dreams and inner landscapes.

Written In The Scars takes listeners on a cinematic journey through pain, processing, and healing.

SELENoLAr is the embodiment of musical contrasts. A blend of harsh sound design meets a delicate approach with a keen sense of detail. The resulting form of this post-club duo is complex and seemingly random at first glance, yet confident in its purpose. This confusing mixture of sound elements is meant to leave an ambiguous aftertaste—one that won’t easily fade away.

The debut album by the Slovak duo SELENoLAr, titled Dissymetria, is a living proof of the experimental nature of the project. From gentle textures, it gradually develops into full-fledged club music—a uncompromising journey that reflects their determination to settle for nothing less than absolute conviction. On the album, which was mastered by Fausto Mercier, they depict their cybernetic-organic experimental style, blending a dreamlike atmosphere with hard club beats. Eartheater, Yves Tumor, Arca, Sophie, Death Grips… all these influences can be heard in the early works of SELENoLAr.

LickMySoul is a DJ from the Hradec Králové-based label Seismic. She balances between two poles: powerful club techno and trance with heavy basslines and brisk breaks on one side, and gentle, listener-friendly ambient-experimental soundscapes on the other. Her sets are built on contrasts and shifting dynamics.

The concert is organized as part of the Electroconnexion 2025 project with financial support from the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the statutory city of Pardubice, and the Pardubice Region.
