The film Má to cenu!? (Is It Worth It!?) reveals the backstage reality of the art market through one highly unusual artwork. The story brings together the ambitions of collectors, gallerists and artists. What happens when a wooden turtle, a robbed grandmother, the king of debt collectors, naked dancers and a homeless man collide? This relentless satire from the producers of Zkouška umění (Art Talent Show), directed by Jan Strejcovský, explores the true value of artworks in contrast with their market price and offers a universal portrait of artists who trade their own brand — sometimes at the expense of their own morals.

What artistic gesture will ultimately remain in history? Key figures of the Czech art market — such as Zdeněk Sklenář, Olga Trčková and René Rohan — and their artist “protégés” Jiří David, Dante Daniel Hartl and Epos 257 allow an intimate look into their personal worlds.
