One World Pardubice 2026

The international human rights film festival Jeden svět (One World) returns to Pardubice for the twenty-fourth time!

The Pardubice edition of the One World festival offers audiences a unique opportunity to see films with a human rights focus that are not available through regular distribution. Each year, One World draws attention to various forms of human rights violations and places current global events into a broader context. It presents stories from all corners of the world and tells the lives of people who may sometimes seem distant to us. Through the experience of the screenings and the power of the films themselves, we are able to sense these realities almost firsthand, if only for a moment.

This year’s selection includes films dealing with topics such as the contemporary United States, mental health, education, independent journalism, and many others. Through documentary films, we will also travel to the Middle East, Argentina, Iran, China, Vietnam, Azerbaijan, North Macedonia, Ukraine, and Scandinavia.

Audiences will also be able to experience one short documentary film in a virtual reality environment. A traditional photography exhibition will be part of the program as well.
