Gankino Quintet

Gankino Quintet is a young international world music band founded by students of the Pardubice Conservatory.

The quintet began its journey under the guidance of teacher and accordionist Jakub Jedlinský. The band captivates audiences with its unusual line-up, distinctive playing style, and diverse repertoire. Their music blends original compositions inspired by traditional ethnic music from around the world with elements of jazz and improvisation. With both fiery and melancholic tunes, and a vibrant youthful energy, Gankino Quintet can get audiences dancing while also stirring deep emotions.

In addition to the musical maturity of its individual members, the band radiates enthusiasm and a raw groundedness — whether diving into a Bulgarian dance song or conveying the soulful intimacy of an old Romani ballad.
