420PEOPLE: Why Things Go Wrong
A dance performance loosely inspired by Aaron James' book Assholes: A Theory, presented by the duo of dancers Simona Machovičová and Michal Heriban.
The production Why Things Go Wrong by the 420PEOPLE ensemble explores, through contemporary dance, the unique theme of (im)morality and ethically problematic human behavior—often overlooked yet with serious consequences for everyone around.
Most people have experienced a situation where everything seemed to be going right, only for it to fall apart in the end. Sometimes, it's just bad luck, but more often than not, a specific culprit can be identified. This performance tackles the weighty subject of the harm caused by such individuals in a profound and thought-provoking way.
Choreography: Sylva Šafková
Dancers: Michal Heriban, Simona Machovičová
The performance includes strobe effects. English friendly.
Organized by Taje z.s. in collaboration with Divadlo 29 as part of the Ostrovy v pohybu / Islands in Motion project, supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and the City of Pardubice.
