BRAAXTAAL: Floating at Last
BRAAXTAAL – Floating at Last (Catalytic Sound, 2024)
The album Floating at Last by the trio BRAAXTAAL, led by legendary Dutch sound poet and vocal performer Jaap Blonk, has just been released by the label Catalytic Sound. Although the recording was made back in 2004 during the trio’s concert at Divadlo 29 in Pardubice, it is only now being published for the first time.

Jungle Debris / debut album
The band Jungle Debris recorded their debut album during February as part of the Jazzconnexion residency project at Divadlo 29. The eponymous album is now released on CD by the Ma Records label. Listen to it here ↓

The band JWQ recorded their new album in April at Divadlo 29 as part of the Jazzconnexion residency project. The album titled Vystresovaný medvídek koala na pokraji sil se hledaje štěstí náhodně upálí v lesním požáru is now released on vinyl by the Ma Records label. You can listen to it here ↓
Cembalo Celestial / Online Premiere
The online premiere of Jan Komárek’s dance-music film will take place on September 30th at 8 PM on our YouTube channel. The film is based on the recording of the dance performance Celestial Odyssey, which was held without an audience on December 1st, 2020 at Divadlo 29.
Residency of the Jasnovidec Project
The electronic project Jasnovidec has today started its five-day artistic residency at Divadlo 29, during which new recordings will be created.

Aleš Jež (a student at the Department of Anthropology, University of Pardubice) approached us at the beginning of 2017 with an interest in documentary work within Divadlo 29. Given the broad programming scope of Divadlo 29, after some time he decided to focus on a specific segment. His choice fell on improvised music.
Banausoi > Imagines
The band Banausoi recorded their debut album here as part of the Electroconnexion residency project. The album is now released on CD and vinyl through a joint effort of the labels Circum-Disc & 13 raw.
JWQ In Residence
From April 15th to 17th, an artistic residency of the band JWQ (Janoušek-Wróblewski Quartet) took place at Divadlo 29. During the residency, the band recorded material for their new album, which will be released this fall on the Ma Records label.
