An extraordinary solo dance performance by the renowned Slovak dancer, choreographer, and visual artist Michal Heriban, set within the installation space at the Gallery of the City of Pardubice.
The performance is part of the summer event series CecoslovacchiaLive, held at Divadlo 29 & GAMPA, focusing on contemporary Slovak artists.
An original dance and visual performance by Slovak dancer Michal Heriban, featuring evocative original music, exploring the theme of human memory, automated actions stored in the subconscious, unconscious habits, and conscious programming. In three episodes and three approaches to movement, the audience observes how body memory, structured choreography, and improvisation in flow function.
Michal Heriban is a Slovak choreographer, performer, and visual artist primarily based in Bratislava, Munich, and Prague. He is a co-founder of the theater Jednym dychom and has been involved in over 40 full-length productions since 2012. His focus includes physical theatre, contemporary dance techniques, improvisation, voice work in movement theatre, prop usage, and visual art. In the Czech Republic, he has been nominated for the Thálie Award three times.
