In 2010, he was selected for the contemporary art festival, Manifesta 8, in Murcia, Spain, and three years later, he was a finalist in the Oskár Čepan Award – the Slovak equivalent of the Czech Jindřich Chalupecký Award for young artists. Martin creates intuitive and simultaneously systematic installations using images, texts, and subtly unsubtle spatial interventions. These are always preceded by a profound conceptual analysis, where every information is dismantled down to its prime elements in order to then be interpreted and mediated using various means.
