The Big Winter aniLAB Premiere • The Polar Bear Prince

At Divadlo 29, the screen will light up with short animated films that the children themselves invented and brought to life during the autumn session of the animation workshop. You’ll see playful film miniatures full of imagination and ideas – often the very first trailers for larger films the children will complete at the end of the school year. Come and discover their small-but-big film worlds on the big screen. After the screening block, a shared finale of the evening awaits you – the family animated adventure The Polar Bear Prince, which will build on the festive atmosphere and offer a grand story for audiences both young and old.

A fearless and curious girl with an adventurous spirit, Liv dreams of leaving her home in the forest. When the polar bear Valemon offers her family a way out of poverty – on the condition that she goes with him – Liv agrees. A compassionate friendship begins to grow between the girl and the bear, one that could turn into something deeper. For Valemon is not just an ordinary bear, but a prince once cursed by a witch. Liv — brave as ever and helped by her charming animal friends — sets out on a journey to confront the dangerous witch and save Prince Valemon. The Polar Bear Prince is a story of love, greed and courage, filled with suspense, humour, wonderful music and breathtaking scenery.
