Květy
The band Květy is coming to D29 with their new album 41 minut. The melancholic atmosphere of the record is interwoven with moments of wit and humor.
"It’s a statement about the place and moment in which the album was created—a time capsule of a life period," says guitarist and vocalist Martin Kyšperský, the band's main songwriter. The album's title refers to its runtime while also signaling the time commitment it asks of listeners in an era of fleeting attention.
Květy has been around since the early 2000s, evolving through multiple lineup changes and shifts in musical style. Though rooted in the Brno alternative scene, they have moved beyond its legacy to forge their own path, drawing inspiration from a broad spectrum of influences. Despite their experimental and exploratory nature, their audience has grown significantly over the years. They are praised for poetic lyrics, colorful arrangements, energetic live shows, and a distinct sense of humor.
The current lineup features drummer Aleš Pilgr, bassist and keyboardist Jiří Habarta, and multi-instrumentalist Ondřej Kyas, alongside frontman Martin Kyšperský. At the concert, Květy will present a mix of new tracks and highlights from their entire career.
