The solo performance by Slovak artist Soňa Ferienčíková combines physical performance, sound design, and visual installation, exploring our shared future against the backdrop of current political tensions and the escalating climate crisis.

The performance is part of the summer series CecoslovacchiaLive, which at Divadlo 29 & GAMPA focuses on contemporary Slovak artists.

IHOPEIWILL delves into our collective future amidst the growing climate crisis and political unrest. Despite the prevailing global sense of fear and uncertainty, it evokes anticipation and hope. The piece merges physical performance, sound design, and visual installation. These media operate independently yet synergistically, creating an organic whole.

The work was inspired by conversations with people, focusing on the perspective of personal family backgrounds and intergenerational relationships. How do we envision the future not only for ourselves but also for generations to come? What kind of world do we wish for them, and what can we do—or are we willing to do—to make those wishes come true? IHOPEIWILL is an artistic reflection on society's current trajectory and our responsibility toward future generations.

The performance is organized by Divadlo 29 with the support of the City of Pardubice. The event is part of the Electroconnexion 2025 project, supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, the Pardubice Region, and the City of Pardubice.

Admission: 240 CZK (students and disability card holders receive a 50% discount at the door).
