"Everything you ever wanted to know about experimental electronic music on one album. Martin Režný and his one-man project Säkkikangas take a hefty bite with 29 Dietlů: thirty tracks. Their foundations were laid during a residency at Divadlo 29 in Pardubice. The artist works with his own ideas, samples, field recordings, and even improvises with the environment itself — you can hear, for instance, the structure of a theatre dressing room — and blends everything into boundlessly imaginative forms. There's ambient, drone, noise, delicate manipulation of concrete sounds and loops, all accompanied by Režný’s trademark humour and graceful ease in navigating it all. And if thirty tracks aren't enough, there’s a three-hour set on Soundcloud — everything that came out of Pardubice. All at once."
