Miroslav Tóth: Nemiesta
NEXT Festival Record is releasing Nemiesta, the new album by Miroslav Tóth, on vinyl. The album was partially created during this year's AIRinCOK residency at Divadlo 29.
"Three years after the release of Black Angels Songs, Miroslav Tóth returns with Dystopic Requiem Quartet and a rare album inspired by “non-places” – structures and sites that were either unfinished, abandoned, excessively replicated, or scarred by extraction, and which ultimately proved to be senseless. Nemiesta also features the composition Nénia, dedicated to the victims in Ukraine, written just three days after the outbreak of the war. The recordings were made in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Austria.
Part of the album was recorded between September 2022 and January 2023 at selected non-places, as well as at Divadlo 29 in Pardubice during the AIRinCOK residency project, which took place from April 30 to May 1, 2023."
